Roszheldorproekt, a Russian Railways subsidiary, started commercial operation of unified accounting, fiscal accounting, HR and salary accounting system based on 1C: Upravlenie proizvodstvennym predpriyatiem 8. The project was delivered by Omega Plus 91 Company.

An integrated centralized accounting system enables improving performance of managing 22 branches of the Company situated throughout the territory of Russia in eight time zones. The project was implemented within the framework of setting up an integrated accounting, management and centralized control of all corporate units and branches.

Sector specificity of company's operations was taken into consideration during system introduction. In particular, there was implemented OMEGAplus: Accounting of Contractor Agreements under RAS 2/2008 functionality making it possible to account operations within the framework of contractor agreements in accordance with the new procedure effective since January 1, 2009.

The implemented system covered all corporate branches and units in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Kazan, Kaluga, Smolensk, Orel, Yaroslavl, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Perm, Saratov, Samara, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Chita, Ulan-Ude, Svobodnyi, and Khabarovsk.

All the system users acquired online access to required information as a result of the project. Furthermore, clear delivery of business processes was ensured, labor costs of preparing reports were reduced, entry of duplicating data was eliminated, and the accounting functions was ensured within the united information base with the functions of operations and planning.

Consolidated statements forming, IFRS accounting, and preparation of intragroup reports submitted to the parent company are planned for implementation at the next stage.
