Russian Railways are working at the idea and mechanism of compensation of the ticket's price if the Sapsan train is late more than half and hour. It is suggested to give back the full ticket prise or 50% of it, if the train is late for 30 minutes.The idea is that 30 minutes is much enough for the high-speed train, which provides a service other class and kind compared with common trains. Accuracy is rather important for it.

The prices for Sapsan tickets were decreased this summer for the first and second class in connection with the recontruction works on the railway lines, making the trip a little longer. Moreover, the indexation coefficient is pulled down as well for the Sunday trains N 152 Moscow – St. Petersburg and N 151 St. Petersburg – Moscow.
